IS THE CURRENCY OF POWER WHEN DEALING WITH GOVERNMENT
Everything the Government does it does for public purpose and with public funds. You have a right to know what the Government is doing for you and with your money. Freedom of Information laws exist in both Federal and State jurisdictions to allow you to access information.
The default situation in law is that you are entitled to information unless there is a clear access exemption. Sadly many officials view it differently and default to access refusal.
